Pile of Shame vs Library

What each one is

Your Pile of Shame is your collection: the boxes on your shelf, the squads half-built on your desk, the one model you keep meaning to finish. Everything in it belongs to you, and everything you do in this app — painting, progress, armies — happens against it.

Your Library is the same collection seen from the other side: the reference you have gathered on those models — photos, tutorial links and colour schemes, filed against the miniature instead of against a deadline. It is yours alone; nobody else can open it, and nothing in it tracks progress, because that is the Pile's job.

Why the same unit can appear more than once

If you own three squads of the same unit, your Pile holds three entries. They are three real things: each one gets its own status, its own paint sessions and its own photos, because you might finish one and never touch the others.

Your Library holds those same three entries, because it is the same collection: each box you own carries its own photos, tutorials and schemes. Which one you want

Use your Pile when the question is about you: what do I own, what is half-painted, what should I finish next.

Use your Library when the question is about a model and the answer is something you already saved: which tutorial did I keep for this unit, what does the scheme I wrote for it need, which reference photos did I collect.

• Starting a painting session → your Pile. Sessions never live in the Library.
• Reusing a colour scheme you wrote → find it in your Library, apply it to a unit in your Pile.
