Owned and wishlist

Mark a paint owned and it counts as on your desk; put it on your wishlist and it counts as something to buy. Both are just flags on the same catalogue paint — a wishlist paint becomes an owned one the day you buy it, without being re-added.

Once the app knows what you own it can tell you which schemes you can already paint and which are two pots short.

Brands, types and formats

Every paint has a brand, a type — base, layer, shade, contrast, technical and so on — and a physical format: bottle, marker or spray. Those three are how the catalogue is searched and how equivalents across brands are matched.

Your own paints

You can add a paint that is not in the catalogue — a discontinued pot, a mix you keep in a dropper bottle, a brand we do not carry. A custom paint is yours alone: it appears in your collection and your schemes, and nobody else sees it.

Asking for a missing paint

If a real, current paint is missing from the catalogue, submit it. Requests are reviewed by hand and, once approved, the paint becomes available to everyone rather than only to you.

That review is why a request is not instant. If you need the paint now, add it as a custom paint and carry on.
