The fastest full unit in 40,000 to get to a table-ready standard: one spray, one wash, one drybrush, then the gauss glow that sells the whole army.

Necrodermis

  1. Basecoat the whole model Basecoat — Leadbelcher over black, or straight from a Leadbelcher spray — Necrons are the fastest army in the game to base.
  2. Shade hard All-over shade — Nuln Oil over everything. Living metal wants to look tarnished, not polished.
  3. Drybrush the ribs and skull Drybrush — Necron Compound across the spine, ribs and cranium, then Runefang Steel on the sharpest edges only.

Gauss flayer

  1. Basecoat the energy channel Basecoat — The barrel channel and the flayer coil, not the whole weapon.
  2. Build the glow outward Layer — Warpstone Glow, then Moot Green kept to the centre of the channel so the edges stay dark.
  3. Hot core and glaze Glaze — A thin line of Gauss Blaster Green down the middle, then a Tesseract Glow glaze over the whole channel.

Tomb world base

  1. Crack the surface Texture — Martian Ironearth applied thickly cracks as it dries — thin patches will not crack at all.
  2. Drybrush the plates Drybrush — Ryza Rust across the raised earth to warm it, then Terminatus-dry ochre if you have it.
  3. Rim the base Detail
