A single character worth slowing down for: the gold recipe with a face, a staff and a spirit-flask that is the most interesting thing in the army to paint.

Sigmarite armour

Basecoat the gold Basecoat — Retributor Armour over black. Metallics cover better than they look — two thin coats is enough.
Shade the plates All-over shade — Agrax Earthshade over everything gold. This is what turns a flat yellow metal into armour.
Layer and edge the gold Edge highlight — Liberator Gold across the raised plates, then Stormhost Silver on the sharpest edges only.

Face and skin

Basecoat the skin Basecoat
Shade the features Recess shade
Highlight the face Layer — Cadian Fleshtone on the brow, nose and cheekbones, then Kislev Flesh on the highest points.

Spirit flask and staff

Ground the flask dark Basecoat — Incubi Darkness inside the flask so the ghost light has somewhere to emerge from.
Raise the spirits Layer — Celestra Grey wisps, then Blue Horror only on the upper half of each.
Glaze and catch the light Glaze — Hexwraith Flame over the whole flask, then White Scar dots where the spirits are brightest.
