Shade hard All-over shade — Nuln Oil over everything. Living metal wants to look tarnished, not polished.
Drybrush the ribs and skull Drybrush — Necron Compound across the spine, ribs and cranium, then Runefang Steel on the sharpest edges only.

Basecoat the energy channel Basecoat — Immortals carry a wider coil than a Warrior — leave the outer ring dark.
Build the glow outward Layer — Warpstone Glow, then Moot Green kept to the centre of the channel so the edges stay dark.
Hot core and glaze Glaze — A thin line of Gauss Blaster Green down the middle, then a Tesseract Glow glaze over the whole channel.

Bronze plating

Pick out the chest and shoulder plates Layer — Warplock Bronze separates an Immortal from a Warrior at arm’s length.
Shade and verdigris Recess shade — Agrax Earthshade into the recesses, then the smallest touch of Nihilakh Oxide in the deepest corners.
